Sonata for Flute and Cello is a one movement work in several sections, nearly all of which employ an imitative and quasi-canonic relationship between the two instruments. Like many of Rosner’s early works, the piece explores extensive use of idiosyncratic modal scales and patterns. (Notes by Carson Cooman)
